Obstetrical Care

During pregnancy, it is important that women have a doctor who can answer their questions and prepare them for the birth of their baby. Dr. Chun works with expectant mothers to ensure they are comfortable and informed about pregnancy and childbirth.

Dr. Chun advises patients on prenatal and postnatal care, and is available for the pregnancy, birth and postnatal care. She also understands that every pregnancy is different, and thus every expectant mother needs specialized care. She meets with each woman and then works with them to meet their needs.

Dr. Chun delivers at the O’Shaughnessy Family Birthing Center located at Fauquier Hospital and provides families with specialized care during childbirth. The center has private rooms where women labor, birth and recover, so they can stay in one place during the entire process. In addition, the rooms are designed to allow both parents to stay with the newborn after the birth. The parents can bond with the newborn immediately when they use the Birthing Center facilities.

A compassionate and knowledgeable obstetrician makes pregnancy and childbirth easier. Dr. Chun is involved in the care of her patients and works to ensure each woman has a comfortable and healthy pregnancy.

Gynecological Care

Proper gynecological care is essential. Dr. Chun offers a full range of gynecological services for patients. Patients benefit from the advanced screening measures and the level of care given by Dr. Chun.

Patients will receive routine gynecological care from Dr. Chun, as well as advanced screening measures and treatments. No matter if the patient has a preexisting condition or simply needs an annual exam, Dr. Chun will address their situation and needs.

Bilingual

As a bilingual physician, Dr. Chun is able to put patients at ease by speaking to them in either English or Spanish. Not only does this add to the comfort of the patient, but it also helps patients understand what is going on during the visit. When advice and explanations are not lost in translation, patients receive a better level of care.

Life Stages

Women need the support and care of a gynecologist through the different stages of their lives. From adolescence through menopause, Dr. Chun is available. She addresses concerns and answers questions for patients so they feel at ease with their changing bodies. She also guides patients so they understand what to expect as their bodies continue to change.

Each patient is unique in Dr. Chun’s office, and thus she takes the time to address individual concerns. Everyone handles the stages of life differently, and Dr. Chun evaluates each person’s needs and then helps them on their quest for comfort and understanding.
